The Flickmate Holding Pipette has a flat opening to hold the embryos during biopsy. The top side of the pipette is ground to a slope which forms an edge with the holding surface. This edge helps when "flicking" to remove cells during the biopsy procedure. The "flicking" technique reduces the use of a laser and improves the biopsy success rate (less mosaic embryos).
